Two identical Cincinnati CFV-1100 medium-high speed vertical machining centers are available. Each machine is equipped with a Mitsubishi M 80 A CNC control package and a high-power driven BBT 40 spindle rated to 12,000 rpm. All three axes run on linear guideways, with travels of 1100 x 550 x 520 mm on the X, Y and Z axes. A 24-station tool magazine handles automatic tool changes, and an oil cooler keeps spindle thermal growth in check. Machining accuracy is held to 0.01 mm. Both units are built to the same configuration, making them a matched pair for parallel production lines.
